Local history,
waymarked for walking.

Storical helps communities, archives and heritage groups turn local history into story trails — routes you can walk, with the past unlocked at every stop.

What we do

From archive box to footpath.

We built the tooling so any local group — a historical society, a museum, a parish council — can turn research into a trail people actually walk, without needing a developer.

01

Gather the record

Bring oral histories, archive photographs and parish records into one shared trail project, credited and dated.

02

Plot the route

Drop waypoints on a map, sequence the stops, and attach the story that belongs to each one.

03

Publish and waymark

Generate a free public trail page and printable waymarker signage, ready to install on site.

04

Walk it

Visitors follow the trail on their phone, standing where the history actually happened.

Trails in progress

Built by the people who know the ground.

Industrial heritage

The Wharfside Trail

Nine stops tracing a canal town's mills and dock workers, researched with the local history society.

Wartime history

Homefront Walk

Oral histories from residents who lived through the town's wartime years, mapped to the streets they describe.

Civic history

Market Town Origins

A medieval market charter, still legible in the shape of the streets seven centuries on.
